Hello New Toy!

Do you still remember my all-year-round wishlist? Finally, after months of waiting, I've completed the list. Though with some exceptions like instead of getting the Sephora Palette collection, I've got myself the Nyx Nude on Nude Palette. Same with the Charles & Keith shoes in which they were replaced by my new Franco Sarto & Apt 9 shoes {courtesy of boyfie's mom}.

And today, boyfie got me the Fuji instax mini 7s in exchange for the XMINI II he bought a couple of weeks ago.

Now given those exceptions, I have pretty much completed my wishlist. It all came true and I am so much delighted that I was able to accomplish it in a span of 5 months. Not bad, right?

Tomorrow's back to work and it will be a hectic week. Lots of work to accomplish. Wish me luck!

Still out and about

With so many things in mind {basically from work} recently, going to crowded places like shopping malls is my way to relieve some stress. Weird, right? I know. Instead of going home and taking the Bus 58 {since it goes straight to our neighborhood}, I took the other way around and later found myself strolling around Tampines One. Yes, just like what I did the other day. Luckily, boyfie managed to leave the office earlier than expected and agreed to meet up with me. We had dinner at Bakerzin which admittedly becoming one of my favorites though the food is quite pricey.

While I was waiting for boyfie to arrive, I scored a cocktail ring from Diva. So pretty.

cocktail rings: diva (green), bazaar (butterfly)
small heart-shaped ring: hand-me-down from Mom

Yesterday after work, I decided to go to the city and check some stores which are not available in our area. Apparently, most of my fave shops are located there which will took approx. 1 hour of travel from my place. I called up boyfie and asked if he could meet me up so we could go home together.

So whilst waiting I dropped by a shop named KissJane in CityLink and checked some of their items. Basically, the collections are fashionable and the prices are not over 50 SGD which I think it's not bad { but just don't convert the price to PHP}. It actually carries different brands and one of those is MissyPixie. I've been seeing their collections from a fellow blogger and I got curious if I could fit into those clothes. Since luck was on my side that time, I spotted a very nice top. I immediately went to the fitting room and viola! It's just my size. Hahaha! I ended up buying it, of course!

Saturday will be a busy day. Lots of errands to do. Boyfie needs to do a video shoot for Codeflux as well, and I will be participating into that one. Will try to do an outfit post, hopefully!

Time to sleep now. Good morning! :D

Clutch Love

I've been searching for 'the perfect clutch bag' recently after I realized that bringing an oversized bag is not a pretty good idea especially when you only have your wallet, keys and phones with you. Yes, I've been doing that for almost every weekend. Boyfie and I seems to like the idea of having dinner out somewhere and do some window shopping after. Apparently, that's our concept of simple dates. Anyway try to imagine carrying a big bag with only less than 5 items inside it. Isn't it quite uncomfortable? Maybe for me it's too light. Besides, I also don't have any small bags here in Singapore. Too bad.

And so the need to have a clutch bag { i prefer this one now } arises. The good thing is, I spotted one in Charles & Keith yesterday when I managed to drop by at Tampines. I originally planned to buy a pair of black pumps but my attention got shifted away by the camel-colored bag I saw on one of its racks. It was love at first sight. Hahaha!

It's really beautiful...
and the bag comes with detachable brass-colored chains

On lighter note, I am now pleased to inform you that I've finally figured out how to tie the belt...

It's like you tuck it under first and then over.. that's it!

Now, I can't wait to do an outfit post using my 'perfect clutch bag'... ;)

Tangerine!

I was never a fan of orange-y lipsticks maybe because I don't have a fair complexion which will give justice to the color. I know I am quite biased in pinks and reds but tell you, those shades are the safest. You can never go wrong with them as long as it matches the outfit pretty well.

Recently, I've been reading from blogs that the tangerine shade is one hot item this summer. It has been circulating on the Internet from Prada ads up to Korea's Etude House. After having second thoughts and hesitations, I decided to give it a try for a change. I tried to look for a cheaper brand which carries the tangerine shade but found none. I went to Etude House in Tampines, tried some testers, had short conversations with the Chinese sales assistant regarding makeups and skin tones and the next thing I know I was already on the counter. The sales assistant handed me a pink bag and here's what I got:

The Miss Tangerine lipstick

freebies I got from Etude House:
facial mask, tissue, pink dolphin bookmark

So once I reached home, I tried applying some to see if it will suit me. Apparently, it is!

The color is quite awkward but still wearable. Maybe the outfit and season should be considered also.

Can't wait to use it... :)

When I tried to add colors...

Weather in Singapore is fickle. Some days are sunny, most are rainy { stormy perhaps, ironically there's no concept of storm or typhoon here } so dressing up is quite difficult. Since I didn't want the weather to affect my mood, I decided to at least add some colors to my outfit to brighten up my day.

FOTD:
Gel Foundation - Maybelline
Foundation - Loreal Paris
Concealer - Nichido
Eyeliner - Silky Girl
Mascara - Hello Kitty Maybelline
Eyeshadows & lippies - Nyx Nude on Nude Palette
Lip Balm - Smith's Minted Rose Sephora
Blush - Terra Cota from Posner

Have you noticed the necklace? I scored that one from Iora Sale. Original price was at S$16 and I got it for only S$5. Such a great steal, right? Here's the close-up look of the necklace:

worn over a plain white shirt I scored from last month's New Look Sale

beaded bracelets from Cotton On

And oh, here's another necklace I scored for S$5 {also from Iora}:

Now, I can't wait to wear it ... ;)

How about you, what are your latest fashion finds?

Homecoming!

After months of waiting and saving money, we had finally set our feet again in Manila last April. It was a week vacation from work but tell you, it was short! Our schedule was pretty hectic and we definitely made our stay all worth it.

Boyfie and I were so happy to see our friends and families during our stay. We hope we could go back some time soon.

Till next time, Manila!
