havaianas 2007

Last week, a day before AFF's release, I was able to score 2 pairs of havaianas 2007 edition at Chocolate Clothing Co - SM Mall of Asia branch. The pairs I bought are the following: Havaianas high lite in white and Havaianas bronze metallic top.

With the 2 pairs added, I have accumulated 19 pairs already which means I have to get one more to make it all 20. I am still thinking on what would be my 20th pair: a havaianas brazil flag or a havaianas cartunista? hmm.. I still can't decide.

Anyway, here are my 2 new pairs added to my collection and the entire collection as well:

yey! i'm back! After 3 weeks of being electronically absent in blogger, I was able to find time to organize everything. And when I say everything, this includes my posts, layout and even the blog site itself. I tried the other blog site which Ms. Rhea suggested before but I was not satisfied with the layout that I have chosen. I was not able to customized everything there so I decided to revert and go back to blogger. And Viola! Here I am with the new blog layout. Thanks to the blog layout generator I have googled. The site was really a great help. :)

So what did you miss with my so-called life?

Oh, I am now a gym addict again. Yes, I am and I am taking it seriously. Believe me, I have my own valid reason. And since I go to gym, I bought a few items which I'd be needing like a gym bottle and towels. My original plan was to carry all my items using my brother's back pack until I accidentally discovered this cute barney-colored mini duffel bag from Nike. The bag really caught my attention, and I even dreamt of it. yay! I fell in love with it. I thought about buying it the first time I saw it but tried asking myself and my friends a hundred times if it's worth the price. A week passed and I went back with a decision that by hook or by crook, I will buy the bag.

I said, "If I see it there again at the rack then it's meant to be."
So I guess, it was meant for me.

By the way, I am using the bag for 2 straight days already and I am happy with it. I've been receiving lots of compliments from it. It's really worth the price. :)

havaianas greetings

I forgot to post my limited edition havaianas greetings that I bought last night. The pair comes with a havaianas bag and a metallic keychain as well. I was able to bought it at Chocolate Clothing Co. for 995 pesos. Not bad for a limited edition one. :)

Last friday, kuya ferdie, louie, kathy and i went to see erik santos's birthday concert at bagaberde bar & grill in roxas boulevard. Honestly, most of us didn't have any plans on going to the concert but we had no choice, or else, majo will get mad. so we went to the concert and waited for an hour and a half to see erik santos performed. i didn't get the chance to take some pictures and videos of him since my cellphone is not that reliable. Good thing Kathy brought her digicam and so she became our official photographer.

I've been using glenn's laptop ever since i started having difficulties in finding a perfect timing to use his workstation at home. I actually hated it everytime there's someone using his pc without doing something important and there i am waiting for my turn. Not this time anymore when I can use it everytime I want. haha.. bad! anyway, i was browsing some of my files when i accidentally saw his pic taken at abs-cbn's office. He said that it was taken by his officemate right before they moved to another unit.

by the way, this is candid but he looks great on this pic.. I even asked him to post it on his friendster account but he didn't agree on my idea. He's too shy to show the world how he looks great on this pic.. hehe..

When typhoon ‘Milenyo’ hit Manila

What happened last week was a total chaos. People were conscious on what might happen on the next few hours. school classes in all levels were suspended, total black-out in entire NCR, life-size billboards were scattered along edsa causing a huge traffic. And i, on the other hand, went to the office fully geared with my own weapons. I intendly not to wear my havaianas because i'm afraid that it might slip on my feet and be carried away by the strong winds. Silly? right, but i dont care that's how i value my possessions.

By 2:30 in the afternoon, our office declared an early dismissal. I kept on calling glenn who's currently staying in a hotel with generated electricity, to ensure if i can go home immediately and safely. Fortunately, there's earl to the rescue who brought his car and dropped me home. Earl was a such a blessing. Thanks, preppy!

So there. Our house was so dark, and it's only candles that gave us light for the entire night. I spent the night texting and calling some friends who i haven't talked to for ages until i fell asleep. Saturday morning and still no electricity, i decided to ask glenn to go out and spend the day at the mall. We went to MOA and bought some items at the grocery.

Given with perfect place and timing, i was able to take a peak at some of my favorite stores. First stop was chocolate cloting co. where i saw the new havaianas lines worth 895 pesos. I didn't let the time passed without even trying a pair. It was a perfect fit — so soft and comfy. I could considered it as a perfect timing if only i could buy the pair. That time, i didn't have any cash on hand, and glenn is having a difficulty looking for an ATM machine. So i let it pass. Next stop was All Flip Flops where i saw a huge bunch of people trying their own choice of havaianas. I was just only outside the store until i found myself joining the crowd while holding 3 pairs on one hand — brown metallics, havaianas lines, havaianas white cherries. i kept on asking karen who's with me inside the store, which one to buy. Since i dont have enough cash on hand, i bought the brown metallic havs instead. I was so delighted when the cashier handed me over the paper bag where my new havs are placed. It is indeed my 15th pair.

it's been years since i started blogging and every now and then, i kept changing blog just like everyone else looking for a new house or job. i knew from the start that it wasn't easy… it really wasn't. On a lighter note, i know that this would make you happy, since stalking is free and even i enjoyed playing it. so there, i thought it'd be forever, but even other flowers aren't forever too. so i guess, i have to go back to the pink margaridas now and embrace the changes as it come along my way.

greener pastures, is what i like; and pink is now my favorite color. this made me realized that pink is really a great color for feminism and of course, i wanted to show the world how 'girly' my blog is. and surely, this wouldn't be possible if i haven't googled my name and discovered a blog layout generator on one of google's search results. i, happily, do some stalking until i found myself filling up the form of the blog site to generate a customized layout. much love and thank you signals were already sent electronically.

next thing in mind, i will try to keep this blog since i am thinking of you; and i am starting to love its features, though i haven't explored the entire of it yet. maybe in some time, i would be able to do it. but as of this moment, i am loving this blog and i think i will never stop loving it. you see, every step that i make is all about you. i always think that stalking should be fun, and it should be the one to give spice to my insanity and paranoia.

i'd like you to know that you are the reason behind this. you made me feel very special since you're the one who inspires me, that i could write and come up with something worthy. i do hope i'll never fail you 'cause if do, stalking will be boring;and your fancy words will not inspire me anymore.

on kuya's last days...

last Aug. 4, Friday around 5 pm, ferdie a.k.a. "kuya" left us. Not that he died (knocks on wood thrice), he just resigned from the company and left us for a better one. It's more of a career move, as he always say and I knew it right before he left the company. Of course, the company did its best to keep him but he's unstoppable. Though the company didn't admit that kuya is such a loss, I knew that he is a great loss esp. for his team. I remembered one time, one of his team members said that kuya is equivalent to 3 to 5 developers. True, and for me.. he is a hero!

and of course, devs wouldn't allow kuya to leave us without a treat. Kuya, on the other hand, was already preparing for it. So two days before his last day, he treated us for a miryenda at Dad's megamall. To tell you frankly, that was my first time to dine at Dads since i am not a big fan of the buffet style. But I did enjoyed it.

you see, we were all happy that day. we all ended up with a full apetite. just look at Jay's (3rd photo right) face, satisfaction guaranteed and Earl's (3rd photo center) face is priceless.

and as for me, i will definitely miss kuya. he's one of my trusted friends in solegy. thank God there's technology.. which brought us the wonders of instant messaging. =)

havaianas team

so far, i got 14 pairs already. it's not bad after all.. and i'm still counting... i still have to collect more havies... i couldn't wait for the 2007 collections. *wink*

happy birthday!

yesterday is the most special day of my life. it is the day wherein i turned 23. on the contrary, i could say that yesterday is just like any other day except for some people who remembered it and even spent one peso load just to greet me. i will not mention names.. you know who you are.. :) i really appreciated their effort. :)

anyway, i wasn't able to celebrate it fully due to the typhoon "glenda". honestly, it really spoiled my day since i wasn't able to go out and have fun -- but still i went out despite of the bad weather.

haha! di lang talaga ako papatalo sa bagyo, gagala at gagala ako.. hehe..

so here's what happened on the eve of my birthday:

- jaycee & dad surprised me with a fudgee bar cake as they sing a birthday song! haha!
- i also wanted to thank eson from giving a simple token on my birthday
- also, i would like to welcome the newest member of my havaianas team, rosa branco

anyway, i'll create a separate post for my havaianas team. ;) and oh, i would also like to thank those people who sent messages and created testimonials on friendster account just to greet me.

and the addiction continues...

last sunday, glenn called and asked me if i wanted to join him and ryan to meet ate rina, their co-ragnarok player at SM MOA. actually, i didn't know why i said yes to think that i have lots of things to do at home. so i did join them and met ate rina at national's bookstore. we've spent talking and walking without even knowing that we were already explored the entire mall. yeah, and tell you what, my feet did hurt -- and i am wearing my yellow margaridas havaianas. my havies suffered a lot. anyway, it's okay. i really had fun especially when i accidentally discovered that there are new stocks of havaianas in chocolate clothing co. isn't it a sign that i need to buy a new pair? and i didn't even check GT for two days, so i really don't have any idea that new stocks had been released. oh well, maybe that's reason why i went there without any purpose aside from accompanying glenn and ryan. *blink*

and as expected, i did buy one. a new one -- a cute one. i bought a polka dot havaianas in cafe/rosa at 895 pesos. of course, i took a picture of it..

last friday, i got a text telling me that my two havies which i ordered from dubai have finally arrived and they are now ready to be picked up in starbucks g4 on saturday afternoon. i was so excited that time since i would finally see my two wonderful havies. so saturday came and i went to g4 with glenn to pick up my orders. the one we met there was sis sheila's brother. he was so nice despite the fact that i came a bit late. so when the guy handed me my orders, i quickly opened the boxes just like any child who is so excited unwrapping his christmas gifts. and then i was so amazed when i finally saw them.

last sunday, i planned to go out just to have an excuse to wear the couture shorts i bought from pink belter's stall in gold crest. i really like the design of it, not to mention its texture and kind of fabric.

anyway, i was already set to go out when my younger brother jaycee asked me to accompany him. he finally decided to buy a pair of dragon havaianas. unfortunately, when we checked the stocks in AFF, Rustans and Gas, no dragon havs available.

Instead, he bought cartunista fernando havies from AFF. So cute, right? i also wanted to buy a pair of these havies, but i have to give way for those upcoming styles. ;) and oh, have i told you that this is jaycee's 2nd pair? i remembered one time he told me that he's planning to collect too! *wink*.. you see, people are starting to be junkies just like me.. how about you? :)

havaianas update

so finally, i have my havaianas top metallic gold and havaianas dragon in black/silver. and what i've experienced just to have these two pairs is not easy. i came to office last wednesday around 1030 in the morning, still feeling a little bit exhausted due to the solegy spirit week we are celebrating for the entire week. oh well, so i came a bit late, opened my pc and started to have a quick look at the havaianas thread in GT. then i was stopped when i read a post telling all the havies that new stocks have arrived in Rustans Makati, and that includes the two limited edition havaianas dragon. i called Rustan's U to check the stocks unfortunately, i wasn't able to contact it so i contacted AFF instead. I checked the availability of the stocks and since i am fortunate that day, i was able to reserve two pairs of dragon black/silver havaianas -- one for me and one for glenn.

i immediately dialed glenn's number and informed him that i was going to AFF to get the two pairs i reserved. glenn, on the other side, felt excited when i told him that the pair he has been eyeing for finally arrived. so, he went also to AFF to accompany me. when i got the pairs, i felt so relieved. i felt this kind of satisfaction when the guy at the counter gave me the AFF paper bag with the two pairs inside it. With not so enough satisfaction, i also bought the gold metallic top havaianas to match my silver metallic top havs. so there, i was able to score 3 pairs of havaianas for just less than 30 minutes -- amouting to PhP 2,450. Not bad.. ;)

so what's next? hmm.. fashion black and yellow margaridas from dubai. i'm just waiting for the schedule of pick-up. after that, i think i already reached a dozen pairs.. *wink* hehe..

today is the happiest day of the week. Aside from the fact that i am feeling great, though kinda sleepy while making this entry, my havaianas inventory has been updated.

my silver metallic havaianas has just arrived. oh! by the way, before i forget.. i would like to thank sheena a.k.a. BeachBaby in girltalk for buying these cute, limited edition pairs. I really wanted to have this before but since it was a collector's item, these pairs are so difficult to find unless you're really interested to purchase it abroad.

speaking of havaianas, carlo (my officemate) bought a new cellphone. It's a nokia N70, and since we are all amazed of his new phone ( i know it sound so ridiculous, but who cares?), i decided to take a picture of my new polished nails, and my uber cute dark brown summer havaianas.
