On Birthday and Shopping

I know, this is already a super duper long overdue post. Gomen ne? (sorry). I've been pre-occupied by a lot of stuffs lately and that includes organizing this blog. Imagine how hard it is to consolidate blog entries way back 2006 from multiply to blogger, and I have done it -- MANUALLY! Yay! I know you're thinking why didn't I use any tool in importing blog entries? Believe me, I did some research for that but apparently, I found none.

Anyway, I'm so glad I've done it. Just a few finishing touches, then it's good to go! *dances*

A few weeks ago, I celebrated my 26th birthday and for me, it's the best one! I'm so thankful to all the people who made it so special. *blush blush*

To my Orange & Bronze friends ( you know who you are ), thanks for the Bead Shop's necklace. Love it! I wore it for almost a week. :)

Of course, how will I ever forget how appreciative I am to Glenn for all the efforts he had done? His story made me love him more. <3

Thanks also to the talented staff of TGI Fridays in SM Mall of Asia, for the birthday song performance and for the complimentary vanilla ice cream as well. I was really surprised. :)

And since July was my birthday month, I also did a few rounds of shopping. My birthday is not complete without it. It's a tradition, well.. my personal tradition and I'm doing that every year. :D

Here comes August. My shopping month. I had done a lot of shopping for the past few days. I did shopping last weekend, and so did the past weekends. :D

You know they say, Retail Therapy is the best cure for stress. :P I can attest to that! It makes me feel good every time I buy something for myself. So does it mean, i have to do it every time I'm stressed out? :P

Fickle Weather

I really hate the weather these days. especially when it’s raining. Why? Because….. if you’re already a corporate slave and you’re working hours end at around 6pm, tendency is.. you will end up staying more hours in the office just to let the rain pass… and worst of it, you’ll gonna be stuck in a TRAFFIC!

Good thing is, I was able to bring my camera and took some photos since most of my colleagues went home already. ;P I tell you, I’m quite shy to have my pictures taken if there are so many people around. hahahaha!

cheap find: black tiered dress

Days before the Spelling Bee Musical Play, I've been thinking of what to wear for the event. As much as possible, I don't want to spend too much on it since it was only a one-day event. But the problem is, I want to wear a dress. Technically, I do have one... actually two... but since I lost a lot of weight, they're too loose for me now. get the picture? :D

So hours before the musical, I went to the mall hoping to find a cheap yet fashionable dress (semi formal?). And yes, I was able to score one -- a black tiered ruffle dress which I bought in SM Department store for only Php 350. Such a steal right?

Again, sorry for the poor quality of pic. I felt bad when I didn't bring my camera that night. The dress is way, way better in actual. :) In the pic, I worn the dress with my recent haul from Zara sale a few days back.

on getting healthy

I've been on a diet for the past few weeks and it's effective, I think. I lost 4lbs. already so I guess it's a good sign to continue my 'healthy' living. So last night, I decided to make a 'healthy' bento.

I called it, Wei Xiao Bento (Smiling Bento)

On the first layer of the bento, I put some mixed fruits ( grapes, apples, pears, orange and pomelo )

On the second layer, I put some boiled young corns, lettuce and boiled quail eggs. I designed it to form a smiling face.

This is the second time I created a bento, and I think this one is better -- and healthier. I think I need to plan what's on my next bento, what do you think?
