2007 Flashbacks

Yeah, early this morning I thought of writing a blog entry and reminiscing what happened to me for the past months. This is in preparation for the coming year 2008.

Work is more stressful yet more fun. Believe me, 2007 has been very fruitful for me . As in VERY FRUITFUL.

So this time, I would like to reminisce everything as much as I can and express my heartfelt gratitude for a beautiful year that has passed.

January

Had my very first trip to the City of Smiles -- Bacolod. Yeah, I know this may sound cheesy but really, it was my first trip alone or shall I say, my first plane ride. Thanks to sir Marvin for being my buddy during that time. Haha! It was a wonderful experience. Stayed at Bacolod for 2 weeks (supposed to be 3 weeks but shortened due to my mom – she was hospitalized that time) to train BCD Developers. Love Glenn even more, he’s the one who took care of mom while I was away. Met and gained another bunch of friends. Experienced how a Manileña be an Ilonggo for weeks. Had my first road trip – we called it Negros Occidental Road Trip with my BCD officemates.Bought my 22nd pair of Havaianas (Havaianas Butterfly in Ruby Red)in Bacolod. Eson broke the news of resigning over the phone. Yeah, he did it while I was in Bacolod and I cried while talking to him just like a girlfriend being dumped.. hahahaha! Joke;

February

Just like any ordinary month with work as usual. Shopping nights with Kathy. But what makes this month special is the Valentine’s Day. Well, even before the V-Day. Went out to a dinner with Kathy and Jori at Big Buddha (that time, they’re just friends..). Asked Jori if he has plans for the Valentine’s and suddenly he asked kathy for a date.. hahaha! And guess what happened on Valentine’s day? (oops, sorry.. minutes after V-day).. Jori and Kathy became a couple. Sweet. Haha! As for me, Feb. 2007 is unforgettable. Yeah, it is. This is the first time I received a bouquet of roses (not just roses, white roses which I really really love) from Glenn.. You see, Glenn is not the type of guy who gives flowers.. just like other men, he hates giving flowers.. and for the last 5 years, he never gave me one until this year. And he didn’t send the flowers to office, he delivered them by himself at home letting our neighbors see it.. Really sweet. .

March

Takas mode around lunch time and attended the Make Your Own Havaianas event at Power Plant Mall and I had 2 MYOH pairs (cyan sole with magenta strap with silver star pins and magenta sole with silver strap with light rose swarovski pins) which makes them my 23rd and 24th pairs. Mich had her 1st pair ( changed the sole 3 times,and finally got settled on gold sole with silver strap with silver havs pins ). Kathy got a pair (cyan sole and silver strap with sapphire swarovski pins) also. Jaycee, my younger brother also went with my cousin Ivy and made their own pair. The 2 BCD devs, Peter and Rodney also went to the event and made their own pair as a souvenir. Went to Star City with officemates.

April

Work as usual. Had a lunch treat at Dencio’s Metrowalk courtesy of Majo, James, Earl, Jay and Greg. Had dinner with Eson and the rest of the web devs at Zong in The Fort Strip (Eson’s treat). Jaycee’s birthday and I gave him another pair of havaianas. Lastly, celebrated our 72th monthsary (6th anniversary) with Glenn.

May

Spent lazy long weekend at Putipot Island with officemates (Preppy, Kathy, Jeff, Evan, Louie and Lino). Got excited and all for the upcoming trip to Palawan. Started planning our Palawan itineraries with Kathy. Finally setup my Livejournal and started blogging again. Started my Japanese craze – blame Matsumoto Jun. He caught my attention when I watched HYD (Hana Yori Dango) and Gokusen live action in DVD. Matsujun is so kawaii ne! So blame him.. He's the reason why I got myself hooked on him and to Arashi as well. Watched Letters from Iwo Jima due to Kazunari Ninomiya. Colored my nails in cherry bomb. Havaianas Junkie and fan girl rolled into one. Registered myself to become a member of Arashi Philippines.

June

Had a post-summer getaway with officemates at Montemar Beach Resort in Bataan. Went to Laguna to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. Went to Palawan and had a blast there. Discovered the wonders of El Nido. Met an amazing boat driver and trainor at El Nido. Got sun-kissed and injured at the same time. Yeah, I still got the mark. And the best of all, I’ve got to take lots of pictures to cherish. Best summer indeed! Went to Sango with Glenn, Barney and Kathy to have a Japanese dinner. Fell in love with Maccha Azuki and the mochi, of course! Continued my Japanese craze, watching Jdoramas over and over again. Got hooked on Arashi no Shukudai-kun.

July

Went to Bacolod again with my boss, Alona. Found out that there’s a fine dining resto there and we (alona and I ) went there wearing casual. Hahaha! People were staring at us, but we didn’t care cause we have money after all. Hahaha! Had a foot spa at Spa by the Sea in Bacolod for FREE. It was so relaxing. Had problems with Yankumi, my ipod and swore that I will never go back to Apple Center again. Good thing I resolved the problem. Had dinner with officemates at Jay-J’s (Greg’s Despedida, Evan’s post birthday and my advance birthday treat in ONE). Had dinner with Glenn at Teriyaki Boy. Celebrated my 24th birthday. Had dinner with Glenn, had a little shopping and had my hair colored. It was my first time to have my hair COLORED. Got a make-up kit with lots of make-ups and a birthday cake with a message, “Otanjoubi Omedetou” from officemates. Got hooked on Nobuta wo Produce and got a hidden desire on YamaPi. Just Kidding.

August

Had dinner at Krocodile Grillery in Shangrila with officemates. Had another dinner at Mexicali with Preppy, Barney, Kathy, Jeff and Jay. Celebrated Matsumoto Jun’s Birthday with Arashi Philippines at Mcdo Lacson. Had a great time and met new set of friends. ARASHI ARASHI FOR DREAM.

September

Had a movie night at Earl’s crib. Bought and assembled my dream PC, Yankumi2k1. Yatta! Had a Devs Lunch out at Krocodile Grillery at Shang (Jimmy and Louie’s Despedida, Barney and Evan’s Annual Treat).

October

Had my internet connection at home. Joined the Solegy’s Sportfest but got lost in Sudoku. Had a Korean dinner with Glenn at Kaya. Got hooked on Hana Kimi, that I spent more nights watching it over and over. Fell in love with Oguri Shun but I love Matsujun more. Hahaha! Got the recipe of the steamed egg from Mich. Attended Kel’s Special Batch 68 of DLSU-DWTL. Celebrated Glenn’s birthday.

November

Tried Facebook and it’s way better than Friendster. Watched Inoue Mao’s First Kiss. Got addicted to Goong (Princess Hours) again. Finally discovered that our DVD player can play DVDs from ALL AREA CODES which means I can watch DVDs wherever it can from. Attended Solegy’s Annual Halloween Party and danced in front of so many people, but, we won 1st place. Got star-struck at Derek Ramsey. Got pissed to a taxi driver. Had a dinner with Orange & Bronze people at Red Kimono. Experienced an earthquake. Had dinner with officemates at Metrowalk Dampa. Attended Gariz Christening (Gabo’s son). Watched One More Chance thrice. Yeah, it’s true. Pig-out dinner at Mang Jimmy’s. Booked our flight to Cagayan de Oro + Camiguin for March 2008.

December

Had a sleepless night and became a happy camper in the office. Had a series of over time at the office. Joined Solegy’s annual Christmas party. Went to Bonifacio High Street to have coffee and bonded with Preppy, Jeff, Barney and Glenn. Bought Christmas presents for friends, officemates , cousins, relatives, and family. Attended Devs Christmas Party at Metrowalk Dampa and received a “Shopaholic & Baby” book by Sophie Kinsella from Jay.

Attended Orange & Bronze Christmas Party and won a noche buena pack. Same with glenn.. Yup, he won ‘cause I wrote his name on the paper. He’s so unlucky on raffles.. Went to Laguna to spend some time with my relatives. And yeah, we just had our annual family meeting discussing all family issues.. could you believe that? Hahaha! Cleaned my room and had some bedroom make-over...

and so Jaycee's bed..

And today, Christmas Day, I cooked! Could you believe that too? Hahaha! I cooked Fettucine Carbonara (thanks Kathy for giving me the recipe), and Glenn liked it! It was a HUGE success. Hahahaa!

Not only that, Glenn had it on VIDEO. Hahahaha! It’s a very RARE occasion, as per Glenn. . Sent sms to people greeting Merry Christmas. Shared my blessings to other people. Had a short chat with Barney straight from Dubai (wow! With web cam! Rich kid.. hahaha!) . Wore Jaycee’s headset and listened to JPOP for hours due to firecrackers (gawd! I so hate firecrackers). I bought a pair of havaianas – my 28th pair, havaianas slim animals in nude..

and Jaycee also have another one..

Lastly, had a beautiful Christmas.

Yatta! We're going to Cagayan De Oro + Camiguin

so yeah, finally!

actually we were just talking about our plan for summer, and we were thinking of going either to Batanes or CDO-Camiguin.. and yeah, we're so damn rich that we can't figure where.. haha! joke! and a couple of days ago, Kathy showed us this multiply account (http://wankultsik.multiply.com/photos) with lots of pictures taken from their CDO-Camiguin trip. The scenery is amazing and their adventures especially in Cagayan de Oro are truly breathtaking.. water rafting, white beach, etc.. and then yesterday, we saw the P1 (peso) fare offered by Cebu Pacific on a newspaper.. and the next thing I knew, i am already sending sms to my aunt asking her if i could use her credit card online.. :D my officemates also asked for other credit cards so they could also book flights. This is what we called "Desperate Measures"! We're all so impulsive.. hahaha!

so there, we finally booked our flights to Cagayan de Oro. Then we're going to take a ferry boat to reach Camiguin Island.. god, i am getting excited already..

I think Php 6,534.00 is cheap enough for a round-trip ticket for 2 so it's 3,300+ each (from March 07 to 10, 2008) considering that CDO is located at Mindanao. So not bad..

now that we finally have our tickets.. we're poor!
we need to save more okane! i think each one of us ( we're all 10 in this trip, i think) should have 10k for the trip, same budget that we have when we went to Palawan last June.

maaa, i gotta start saving okane now... :P

Bad Trip

arrggghhhhh..

tapos ung taxi driver, super bagal pang magpatakbo..

Tall, dark and handsome...waaaaahhhhh...

For Daddy Greg, Louie Boy, Eugene, Jimmy and Evan

Gochisosama deshita!!! { thanks for the treat }

It was a sumptuous dinner .. and we were full.. literally! PIG-OUT !
We know we spent a whooping 8k+, but we were all happy that we were able to get together again despite our hectic schedules...

and also to M' Alona for the starbucks treat.. hontou ni arigatou gozaimashita!
I had my all-time favorite Christmas Blend drink, Peppermint Mocha Frappucino.. ^__^
We have already accumulated 9 stickers.. more to go to complete the coupon for the 2008 Starbucks Planner.. hahahaha! Well, I'm not rooting on it this time.. I am planning to buy the Belle de Jour Planner.. hehehe!

maa.. i am so full today..

To Evan, ganbatte on your career move.. we wish you all the best!

ps:
i'll be posting the pictures as soon as Earl and Majo uploaded them... ahem!

back from hiatus {random}

yes, finally.. after being on HIATUS for so many days..
well, not entirely on HIATUS .. because most of those days, i'd still peek on multiply, livejournal, vox, friendster and FACEBOOK.. OMG! so many to maintain, ne?

and also, during those days, i realized that FRIENDSTER is indeed boring.. and FACEBOOK on the other hand, is much more enjoyable. What I like about FACEBOOK is that you can add a lot of applications on your profile page. And of course, I have ARASHI and other JE artists on my profile page.. hahaha! If I'm not mistaken, it's the iLike application. Anyway, if you're going to create a Facebook account or if you have one already, you can add me up as one of your friends. Just send me a private message so I can inform you my details.. ^__^
+++++

i have finally watched First Kiss ( Inoue Mao a.k.a. Makino on HYD ) and i find it okay. Well, I'm not a Mao fan demo in some way, i like the story line. Aside from First Kiss, I've watched Goong (Princess Hours) again. Maa, i miss watching it. I am really rooting for a part 2, too bad, it's now impossible. Yoon Eun-hye had a management issues with 8 Peaks ( which is also the Goong Production Company). She is now with another management company, Kraze Entertainment, so there's no chance to have another Princess Hours.. :(

+++++

and Yukan Club.. which I haven't watched yet.. Maa.. i want to watch it but I'm having difficulty on downloading it.. same with Coffee Prince.. so many to watch..so little time.. :(

+++++

I haven't watched the recent Arashi no Shukudai-kun, but this picture of Aiba caught my attention. credit: aiba_daily (LJ)

Kawaii deshou? This is my first time to see Aiba wearing an earring, it fits him well.. as well as his hair. waaa.. i heart him now.. :D

+++++

and speaking of ARASHI, i have just discovered that my DVD player at home can play DVDs from ALL AREA CODES. Yay! It simply means that I can buy an ARASHI DVD this Christmas. *excited* Demo, I'm still worried regarding on the ever-famous-CUSTOMS-tax.. For sure, CUSTOMS will charge so high this Holiday season.. WTF!

+++++

Gomen for the long and random post..
i have so many thoughts in my mind right now..
work is really stressful these past few days..
i hope i can it do it well.. *sigh*
