2009 Flashbacks

As part of my traditions every year, here I am again writing a blog entry about all the things that happened to me for the past 12 months.

2009 is somewhat similar to 2008, but the difference is that I have underwent a major self-transformation which turned out to be a great success -- one goal achieved for 2009! Woohoo!

Work as usual is stressful but manageable. I have gained a lot -- friends, knowledge, shoes, bags and even clothes! Haha! Believe me, my closet is now screaming for more space. :P

And since time is really running fast , I can't believe I am writing this now. Hahaha! So again, let's try to reminisce as much as I can ( with the help of facebook, multiply and belle de jour entries) and be thankful for a beautiful year that has passed.

January

Had my hair colored with medium brown to start the new year. Had my nails colored in Bronze tan to match my hair. Went to Pacita to fetch Ate Ne and Inay with Glenn. For the first time, Glenn and I went to Laguna together just to fetch my lolas. Had dinner sessions with my O&B friends at Ling Nam -- our default dining place.

Also had dinner date with Mich jiejie at Capricciosa. Had a Kaya night with Glenn and JP. Said hello to my charcoal (BLUE) eyes -- it was my first time to buy and wear colored contact lenses. Yeah, and it took me around 30 minutes to place both contact lenses on my eyes. Well ... it looks good on me, though. :) Lastly, attended the LPD Kick off in Renaissance Hotel.

February

Work as usual. Still having dinner sessions at Ling Nam. Attended the LPD KickOff at Renaissance Hotel in Makati. Love Glenn even more, when I finally convinced him to watch my much awaited movie -- Confessions of a Shopaholic. I know how much he hates chick flicks, so what he did for me was indeed a great effort and I really appreciated it. Went to Clark, Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta but got bored later on and found ourselves roaming around at Zoobic Safari in Subic, Zambales.

Celebrated Clair's birthday on their residence. It was memorable -- esp. the map she gave us for the directions. How can I forget the yellow rails on the middle of the road and the cow on the map?! That was really something :P.

And of course, celebrated the Heart's day with Glenn and watched Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah (Ze Musikal) stage play at the CCP with O&B friends. No balloons and bouquet of flowers this time. ♥ Bought Acer Aspire Laptop for my younger brother. The greatest of all, I started reaching my ultimate goal -- lose weight from 146lbs. ! FIGHTING! ^^

March

Palawan welcomes Shane & company. Yey! Had our second trip to Palawan to celebrate summer.

This time, Glenn and I went there with new bunch of friends. Had a quick stop at Chelle's house for lunch.

Passed by at Baker's Hill to buy some food for the long trip to El Nido. Stayed at Lally and Abet Beach Resort in El Nido. As expected, I got sun-kissed, toured the islands of El Nido, snorkeling galore and took lots of pictures.

Had a side trip to Sabang to see the famous Underground River. It took us more than 2 hours to reach Sabang proper.

The trip was literally a pain on the butt however, it was an experience. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the entire trip. And of course, my journey in losing weight still continues. Jogged with my officemates around McKinley Hill which eventually made my weight dropped at 132lbs. Yey! ^^

April

Bought a Canon Powershot A1100 IS digital camera in preparation for our much awaited trip. Had our anticipated trip to Pagudpud-Laoag-Vigan... finally! It was a true backpacking adventure. Got to meet Kuya Lenzer, the famous recommended tour guide in Pagudpud. Got amazed to Bangui Wind mills and Kapurpurawan Rock Formations. Trekked to Kaibigan falls -- it was worth it! Finally witnessed the beauty of Blue Lagoon and had series of jump shots taken at Patapat Viaduct.

Went to Laoag afterwards to see the Shrinking Bell Tower and Tobacco Monument. We toured around the city under the scorching heat and took lots of pictures before we make our way to our final destination -- Vigan.

Stayed at Cordillera Inn which is already situated in Calle Crisologo. Bought some souvenirs and foods from the stores along Calle Crisologo. Went to Chavit Singson's Baluarte to feed my curiosity about it. Haha! And the best thing of all, Glenn and I celebrated our 8th year anniversary. ♥

Attended the Agapay Clan Reunion in Liliw, Laguna where I got to see and bond with my relatives and cousins.

Lastly, my weight dropped at 126 lbs. What an achievement, right? FIGHTING! ^^

May

Jaycee graduated from College. My hard work finally paid off. Also celebrated Mich jiejie's birthday with Solegy friends at A Venetto. It was fun being with Solegy friends again. Accompanied Kathy to her wedding caterer and to the Wedding Expo in SM Megamall. Shopping galore since I was able to score medium-sized items with my new weight. Yey! My weight dropped to 122 lbs. Officially became sun subscribers when Glenn and I bought couple phones from LG ( KS360). Got mine in pink and the other one in black. :)

June

Celebrated Alona's birthday in Music 21 with Solegy friends. Got stressed out from work due to the Almost Perfect Patch. Good thing, we were able to deliver it on time. Watched Spelling Bee Musical Play with O&B friends. Got star-struck with Tessa Prieto-Valdez. Got teary-eyed when I witnessed a wedding proposal done right after the play. Weight dropped again to 116 lbs! Go, go, go!

July

Celebrated my 26th birthday. Had lunch at Fridays with Glenn and went to Manila Ocean Park afterwards. Received birthday gifts -- a 4 1/2 platform Steve Madden heels from Glenn and a (The Bead Shop) necklace from O&B friends.

Had a post-birthday celebration at Mom and Tina's with Solegy friends. Picture taking galore courtesy of Louie.

Learned how to walk in high heels -- they're not my best friends, remember? :D. Setup a look book album version in Facebook to sport my different fashion styles and to monitor my weight as well. Weight dropped at 114 lbs. Weeeeee~~~~

August

Work as usual. Had a simple dinner with Glenn at Mom & Tina's to celebrate our 100th monthsary. Watched G.I. Joe movie with O&B friends. Finally got myself registered for 2010 Elections. Yey, flying voter no more! Got addicted to fashion and started blogging again. Had retail therapy to ease some stress from work. Spent an afternoon in Bonifacio High Street for our Peer to Peer Feedback activity. Had lunch at Texas RoadHouse Grill with officemates. Had another lunch out with officemates at Brazil! Brazil!. Got addicted to dresses. Organized my closet and my accessories. Watched the movie UP with glenn at SM Cinema's Director's Club. It was super fun.

Attended an IBM Software Conference Event in Renaissance Hotel. Got hooked on Korean fashion. Shopping, shopping and more shopping! Maintained weight at 114 lbs. :)

September

Spent most of my time having DVD marathons, facebook-ing and of course, shopping! Officially became shoe-aholic. Haha! Fell in love with the dress I bought from Kashieca. It was such a great steal. Bought a Little Miss Runway Marc Jacobs flipflops. Got thankful when I passed the IBM Certification Exam - Rational Application Developer for Websphere Software v6.0. Bought my first Chinese Laundry bag which I got on SALE. Bought a black jumpsuit online.

Celebrated Martin's 26th Birthday at TagayTay Highlands. This time, we stayed at his Godmother's villa. Swimming at Camp Highlands despite the coldness of weather. Played bowling at the Sports Center. Took lots of pictures during our stay. Had some photo shoots with Clair.

Got hooked on True Blood. Went to San Mateo, Rizal to have a surprise visit to Jewel before she leave for Singapore. Had a great time bonding with my 'angshwang-itz' friends. Lastly, suffered from Typhoon Ketsana's wrath. Our house got flooded, chest-deep inside the house. Good thing, nothing bad happened. Reached out a helping hand to other people affected by the Typhoon.

October

Got thankful when Typhoon Parma moved outside the Philippines. Still reached out to other fellowmen affected by the two typhoons. Got hooked on KPop and You're Beautiful. Had series of photo shoots with Clair. Still shopping galore. Accompanied by mom to her doctor's checkup and later found out that mom has a kidney stone stuck in her ureter. Despite all the worries, I still managed to pull myself and be fashionable as I could be. Created my lookbook album version II.

Celebrated Glenn's 27th birthday with O&B friends at Amici. Gave Glenn a pair of shoes as a birthday gift.

Organized and participated in MobileApps Team Building in Elbow Room, Metrowalk.

Finally, mom underwent a shockwave lithotripsy for her kidney stone and it was a huge success! Thank God!

November

Attended O&B's Annual Halloween party.

Faced a challenge to have a Korean haircut at Tony and Jackey. Good thing, it ended up pretty well... or else... hahaha!

Went to Batangas for Kath's wedding preparation together with Glenn and Mich jiejie. Tasted Kath's dishes, sooo yummy! Fell in love with that banana walnut cake :). Had our measurements taken for the gowns. Watched the New Moon with Glenn.

Celebrated Karen's birthday at Super Bowl. Bought her first Havaianas pair. Got addicted to Dezaato Pan. Sunday mornings with Glenn. Webcam weekends with Tita Cora.

December

Joined Lawson's 70's Christmas Party in SMX Center. Dressed on a 70's outfit.

Had my hair rebonded. Bought lots of booze with Teann for the team party. Got tipsy but not wasted on Team PJ-Leonard Christmas Party in Oxford Suites. Took lots of pictures everywhere.

Shopped for Christmas presents for cousins, relatives and friends. Went to World Trade Center but ended up with nothing. Went to Laguna to spend time with my relatives. Bought another set of colored contact lenses in Amethyst.

Had dinner with Julians at Conti's. Watched Avatar movie in Greenbelt 3 with O&B friends. Scored a nice fitting jeans at MNG. Learned a new hobby -- makeups!

Received lots of gifts.

Received a Belle de Jour 2010 Power Planner from Glenn

Sent sms to people to greet a Merry Christmas. Shared my blessings to other people. Sponsored less fortunate kids to have a Christmas Party. Did not bother to cook ... again. Haha! Bought a new A4-tech in-ear earphones in pink, just like last year. Haha! Downloaded and loaded my iPod with songs from different genre... mostly, kpop! :D

Received a VERY GOOD news -- no second session of shockwave lithotripsy needed for mom. The first session was indeed a HUGE SUCCESS. Thank You Lord! :)

Lastly, had a beautiful and meaningful Christmas. I had a blast! :)

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010~! Let's do this! FIGHTING~! ^^
